We left this Traveler's Rock at Stagecoach RV Park, St. Augustine, Florida, on our return trip headed back home. Such a nice place to stay!
On this stay-over, we did the tour of Historic St. Augustine and the Fort. So interesting!

Traveler's Rock left at Zachary Taylor RV Resort, Okeechobee, Fla.
Very nice RV resort! Quiet and clean with very helpful people. Most of the campers there were full-timers so there wasn't a lot of in and out traffic. Everyone we met there were nice and friendly. Certainly one of the nicest parks we have stayed in!
While we were in Okeechobee, we did both the air-boat and the pontoon boat rides on the Lake and both were enjoyable - and yes, we saw the alligators!

We had dinner today at a carry-out seafood diner, Okeechobee Seafood Company. After our picnic meal, we left one of our Traveler's Rock there.
The Rock was found and the tract left with it helped someone!
What a blessing!

"Thankfully I found this gem at 1:00 am when I take my night walks. Since I've been battling insomnia, depression, and anxiety it's hard to have 1 full day happy and productive as I once was a couple years back. The message here resonates with me strongly so I plan on meditating on it some more. Thank you again. I'll be sure to post a picture when and if I pass it on."

While traveling in Florida, we found a rock left by "#AlyssasWishes". We found it at Okeechobee Air Boat Eco Tours. Great reminder, Alyssa!
We left Alyssa's rock at the Veterans Memorial Park in the town of Okeechobee for another traveler to find and enjoy.

We spent some time in Homestead, Florida, at the Boardwalk RV Park. Parked behind us was a camper whose name was Marty. He was a really nice guy, interesting to talk to and an avid fisherman. Twice while we were there, he grilled the fish from his outing and shared it with us. Delicious! We didn't get a photo of him but was able to share one of our Traveler's rocks with him.
We received this really nice email from Marty:
"I was pleasantly surprised to receive your gift of the rock, and it really touched me. Later today my son will be arriving, and as I remember the last time I saw him last summer on my way back to Nebraska from his home I happened upon the Menlo, Ia. Freedom Rock about 60 miles from his location. I paused to admire and take some pictures and resolved that we would ride our Harley's to the rock this summer. There are a number of these Freedom Rocks in Iowa painted by a local artist and dedicated to the spirit or patriotism and respect for our warriors. You can find a map of them on the internet and if you get back into the Midwest in your journeys check one or more of them out. https://www.thefreedomrock.com
"Thank you for your sentiment and have safe travels. I am certain the light of the Lord shines on your path."

Left one of our Traveler's Rock at The Boardwalk RV Park, Homestead, Florida the morning we left there headed to Okeechobee.
The Boardwalk wasn't one of our best places to stay. The camper behind us, Marty, was the only redeeming factor while we were there!

We left one of our Pocket Rocks at The Stagecoach RV Park, St. Augustine, Florida, The Stagecoach RV Park was one of the nicest we have stayed in on our journeys.
Nice people, quiet place, and strong Wi-Fi!
While on our Florida Journey, we had a reunion!

My husband, Wayne, served with Ben Hermanson while they were both in the Marines and stationed at Homestead Air Base in Florida. Since we were planning to be in Florida, I got on social media looking for Ben and was able to find him!
Wayne and Ben talked several times before we started our Florida trip and Ben offered to drive over to St. Augustine to meet up with us.
It was the first time in 50 years these 2 guys had seen each other! They spent the day together talking, catching up, and just enjoying each other's company.
Listening to them made me smile. It was a good reunion!

Covid-19 lockdown kept us from traveling. Our church, Gill Grove Baptist Church here in Chesterfield, Virginia, held Drive-in Services.
One of the great guys that attends our church is Ben Ketron and during one of our out-side services, he did some great songs for us. Ben is a great singer and tremendous Christian man -- such a blessing to us all!

With the "Stay at Home" order, we haven't been able to do any traveling and sharing our Traveler's painted rocks. But my Sister-in-law, Tina, has been sharing some great ideas with me. I don't know where she finds the photos of painted rocks, but they are great works of art! Stay safe out there!

We had a nice stay at the KOA in Baileyton, Tennessee and spent Thanksgiving week there.
And we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary while there! It was a Covid-19 celebration - so it was virtual, just Wayne and I in attendance!
We had planned to spend 2 weeks in Baileyton, but the weather turned cold and nasty. Icy rain doesn't make for nice outings! So rather than spend the last part of our stay just in the camper, we headed home early.
Overall it was a good trip.
This rock was left at the Office of the KOA Campground. There were several other painted rocks there also.
And this is us celebrating our 50th Wedding anniversary - COVID-19 STYLE!

We had a nice Autumn trip to Virginia's eastern area mountains. The trees weren't in full color but it was a nice Autumn Day.
We did go to Carter's Mountain Orchard. It wasn't what I had expected but we weren't there to go out into the orchard and pick our own apples. And we found out they have a wine brewery there which was really disappointing (we didn't know about the brewery before we got there or we wouldn't have gone).
We shared a Pocket Rock at the Rest Area on Interstate 64 East just before the 288 junction
After Momma's Homegoing to heaven, we no longer get together as a family. So Wayne and I have had to find other ways to celebrate Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve, 2019, we did a day trip to Blacksburg since I had never been there and have heard nice things about the township.
We left one of our Traveler's Rocks on a park bench on Main Street -- right next to an Elf Rock someone else had left!

This one was left at the Lazy Acres Campground, Fayetteville, North Carolina, the morning we headed home. Lazy Acres was a nice campground but very little grass!! I wasn't expecting it to be all sand!
